What started with a single van, began a small business built on compassion, determination, and a vision to solve a critical community need has grown into a trusted healthcare transportation provider serving California's Central Coast.

Founded in 2019 by community advocate Nancy Crawford, Care Connection was inspired by the challenges faced by her family when trying to coordinate transportation needing medical care. Nancy believed transportation is about more than getting someone from Point A to Point B—it's about preserving dignity, reducing anxiety, supporting healing, and ensuring access to care.

Over the past five years, Care Connection has become known for raising the standard of patient transportation. The company became the first provider in California to introduce the Broda Synthesis Transport Chair, helping bridge the gap between wheelchair and gurney transport while improving patient comfort and affordability. Care Connection has also become a key partner in behavioral health crisis response, working alongside hospitals, emergency responders, and county agencies to ensure individuals in crisis are transported with compassion and professionalism.

Healthcare leaders throughout the region credit Care Connection with improving patient flow, reducing discharge delays, and supporting emergency department operations.
