Care Connection Transport Services is proud to announce that its Chief Executive Officer, Nancy Crawford, will begin serving in a national advisory role with the Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Accreditation Commission (NEMTAC) starting in January. Crawford has been appointed to the Public Transit & Urban Mobility Advisory Committee (PTUMAC), a national committee dedicated to advancing coordination, policy development, and best practices across public transit, demand-response services, and non-emergency medical transportation.
PTUMAC brings together industry leaders from across the country who are committed to strengthening safer, more reliable, and more integrated mobility systems. Operating at the intersection of transportation and healthcare, the committee addresses the growing need for coordinated mobility solutions that improve access to medical care, behavioral health services, and essential community resources.
The Role and Its Impact
PTUMAC plays a critical role in helping shape policies, procedures, and best practices that impact the non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) industry nationwide. As demand continues to rise for transportation services serving seniors, individuals with disabilities, and medically vulnerable populations, the committee’s work supports improved collaboration among NEMT providers, transit agencies, and healthcare partners to ensure services are delivered efficiently, safely, and with dignity.
Crawford’s appointment reflects her extensive experience in healthcare transportation operations, regulatory compliance, and public-sector partnerships. Her leadership brings a practical, provider-informed perspective to national discussions on mobility equity, system integration, and patient-centered transportation solutions.
About NEMTAC
The Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Accreditation Commission (NEMTAC) represents a national movement to elevate safety, service quality, and operational standards across the NEMT industry. Through accreditation, education, and industry collaboration, NEMTAC works to strengthen professionalism, accountability, and consistency in NEMT services nationwide. Looking Ahead
Through her role on PTUMAC, Crawford will contribute to national efforts focused on improving transportation access, strengthening healthcare mobility systems, and advancing industry standards.
